- As a Reading Teacher, I successfully provided Tier II Reading intervention for up to 75 students across seven periods daily. 80% of students met their annual comprehension growth goals on the December benchmark; and 51% of the 80% exceeded annual growth expectations by achieving at least 2 years of reading level growth on the April benchmark
.- During my tenure as principal, the school’s MCAS ELA scores increased each year, with earning the highest scores in 2014. The Everett also earned the second highest DIBELS growth scores in the district in 2014, and outperformed the district on the 2015 PARCC online assessment both ELA and mathematics. Teachers and members of the Instructional Leadership Team credit these accomplishments to shared decision making and our instructional foci; - Designing and implementing School Reviews to collaborate with principals in identifying patterns related for the implementation of school improvement plans and supporting next steps; - Creating inquiry cycles for common planning time and using common assessments as the data points; - Facilitating district-wide teacher led approaches to curriculum writing with vetting processes; - Creating student leadership groups to better understand their needs; - Collaborating with internal and external cross-district leadership teams by using Instructional Rounds to help calibrate administrators and working with teachers and administrators to calibrate around effective instruction - Mentoring principals, and creating school and district mentoring programs for teachers; - Successfully writing, monitoring, and implementing grants with fidelity to target and support student needs |
